I’ve had my FJ for about six years now and somehow managed to keep the paint in decent shape, but the swirl marks from all those desert drives and the automatic car washes are finally catching up with me. I keep seeing people rave about ceramic coatings and how they basically make washing a breeze, but I’m kind of skeptical about whether it’s actually worth the investment on a car that still sees regular off-road trips. I’m not looking for a showroom finish necessarily, just something that’ll hold up against the dust and the occasional mishap without me having to spend every Friday afternoon with a pressure washer. A buddy mentioned I should look into exotic car detailing services Abu Dhabi since they apparently use the high end stuff that lasts longer than the typical packages, but I’d love to hear from anyone who’s actually done it on their daily driver. Did it live up to the claims or am I better off just sticking to a really good wax every few months?
