How did you find people who actually think like you online?

I'm honestly just tired of surface-level connections online. I've got followers, I've got contacts, I've been in Discord servers and subreddits but I rarely manage to find people like you in the real sense, you know? People who share the same weird little values and perspectives and sense of humor. I'm not even sure what platform or app would help you find people like you online. Has anyone actually cracked this or is it just luck?

It's partly luck but I think the platform matters more than people admit. Most of them are designed to maximize engagement, not connection which are very different things. What worked for me when I wanted to find people like you was this platform the whole concept is built around matching based on actual thoughts and values rather than demographics or who you already know. It's quieter than most platforms, which I think is part of why the connections that do form feel more real. I met one person there and we've been talking almost daily for three months.
