Right so I've been hunting for a clean 2017 Dodge Charger RT around Al Awir for a few weeks now and I think I finally found a black one with the red interior that hasn't been absolutely thrashed within an inch of its life but you just never know with these cars right? The owner is a young local guy who clearly loves the car, he's got the exhaust done and some aftermarket intake which sounds insane but also makes me wonder what else has been fiddled with under the hood because the last thing I need is a Hemi tick that turns into a full camshaft replacement six months down the line. My mechanic friend back home always said to check for rust around the rear wheel wells and to make sure the transmission doesn't clunk when you shift from park to drive but I'm not a mechanic and frankly I'd rather just pay someone who knows exactly where to stick the borescope and what the common oil leak spots are on the 5.7 specifically. I was chatting with a guy at the fuel station near DIP and he mentioned there are some proper Dubai Dodge Vehicle Inspection Specialists that even check the condition of the active exhaust valves and the Uconnect screen for delamination which is a super common but annoying issue. Honestly just looking for a bit of peace of mind before I hand over a chunk of my savings for what is essentially a four door muscle car that I'll be using to sit in traffic on Hessa Street most days anyway.
Anybody know a decent spot to look over a used Charger before I pull the trigger?
